Focusing on house style following the ‘Magazine house style and front cover observation’

Following my music magazine front cover styles, I analysed my observations and put the information into table form for easy comparison. At the end of this observation, I wrote up a conclusion in relation to my own product. Predominanty, I came to the conclusion of:

• Having two people featured on the front page to break the typical convention of one single person.
• The people featured would be male and female with their backs to each other.
• They would not be gender biased as most music magazines do.
• The people on the front would be linked in with the theme of 'Battle of the Sexes', hence their pose.

In the document below, I decided the cover artists would be back-to-back and folding their arms. When I decided to be the female artist with a male friend, we tried out my idea with the camera on timer so I didn't have to get anyone else to take the photograph. After many retries of the photograph, it just didn't seem a suitable pose and so I ended up making the decision of changing the pose. There will be an evaluation on my photograph choice later.
